Will dry cleaning really get rid of body odor in clothes during the dry cleaning process?

The answer is yes!

We often get new clients coming to us complaining that their other dry cleaners were unable get rid of body odor from their clothes, sometimes even adding a ‘kerosene like’ chemical smell to them. This strong chemical smell is actually from PERC which is used in the dry cleaning process to clean clothes. Sometimes, depending on the fabric of the garment, PERC does not evaporate fully, and remnants of it are left in the clothes, which creates a combined body odor and chemical smell (which is not a nice smell!)

To remove both of those smells, we can either Ozone or Dry Clean your clothes. Ozoning is a simple yet is highly efficient method used after a Fire to remove the smoke smell. Important for the impending humid and hot summer months in New Orleans, you need to know that DeLuxe Dry Cleaners has a reliable service that will leave your clothes truly odorless (no B.O. or PERC).
